Didn't I just write about my chief cook Sor a few days ago? Hehe! Anyway, indulging Purpled Sky and posting a little more about my one and only. I'll also be posting something I wrote about Sor in my private blog while I was on training in the US for two months. I was pining for him then. I never knew it was possible to miss someone so bad.

I’m missing Papa Sor so much.

The cold Lexington morning makes me miss waking up and feeling his warm body next to mine. The same-old same-old Marriott breakfast makes me miss his yummy home-cooked meals made just for me. The cold and quiet hotel room makes me miss his welcoming hugs and kisses whenever I come home from work. The boring drone of the evening TV makes me miss watching DVD movies and even Korean telenovelas with him before kissing each other good night.

I miss our endless jibes, our banters, our petty little arguments as well as our major ones, his contagious laughter, his disarming smile, his sharp penetrating gaze, his tattooed nipple…I miss everything about him.

I miss taking a bath with him everyday in our dear reliable water pump. I miss him dumping a bucketful of ice-cold water over me when I refuse to take an early morning bath. I miss him reminding me to prepare my clothes the night before work so I won't run late the next day. I miss him calling me at the office in the morning and in the afternoon. I miss walking out of the office building after work and seeing him sitting by the plant boxes waiting for me. I miss eating barbecue with him at that barbecue stand in Mabolo. I miss sharing "midnight" snacks with him at home. I miss seeing him play pretend with Yaku and Tating. I miss seeing him lull them to sleep. But most of all, I miss making sweet and passionate love to him.

Everything in Lexington just makes me miss him so bad. I never thought I’d feel this way but I know now I am pining. I may be good at hiding it and just enjoying life here with friends, but there isn't a day that I don't wish he's with me every second of every day here, enjoying what I’m enjoying, experiencing what I’m experiencing. I know there’d been times that I just take him for granted but being away from him this long and this far is not easy at all.

When I get back home, I’m going to give him all the sweet (and wild!) loving that he deserves. When I get back home, I’m going to be a good wife and learn to cook him all the meals that he wants. When I get back home, I’ll tell him everyday how special he is to me, how good of a father and partner he is. And I’ll forever thank God for having me go through life not on my own…but with Sor.

So that's my little tribute to that handsome "cats" up there on the right. I never did get to realize my promise about cooking him meals though. What can I do? He insists on cooking them himself. I really must be that bad at cooking. I'm learning though, with Sor as my ever-patient mentor. *wink*
