Yaku's first flight

Scrapbook Saturday

Snapshots from Yaku's first ever airplane flight last February 2008 when we went to Manila to meet his Papa Sor. Tating's still in Bohol so he wasn't able to come with us. There were no signs of hesitation or fright whatsoever from my eldest. He got impatient at the airport while waiting for boarding time, got impatient when the plane didn't "fly" immediately after we boarded it, and got impatient when the seatbelt sign took longer to turn off - he wanted to stand up and watch the view from his window.

Although he did grip his seat hard (but with a wide grin on his face) as the plane took off Mactan Cebu International Airport, the rest of the flight was a breeze. Well, more like a gust of wind really, because Yaku enjoyed the experience he could hardly contain his excitement. He kept bounding in his seat wanting to look at all the other passengers around him, kept asking who those beautiful ladies marching up and down the aisles are, kept making excuses to go to the restroom (only to dillydally by the aisle and "chat" with the other passengers), kept bugging me about where the cockpit is so he could go and watch the pilots in action. He was beyond control. Hehe!

Since that flight, he'd finally made up his find to become a pilot and nothing else. Seems like my Yaku has fallen in love with flying. Well, I can only wait and see.
